Privacy Policy

LifeBox – Life Organizer · Effective 19 September 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how LifeBox – Life Organizer currently handles information on your device. It reflects this version of the app. It does not describe future cloud, account, advertising, or billing services that are not implemented.

Information stored in LifeBox

LifeBox is designed to store information you choose to enter. Depending on the features you use, this may include an optional display name; appearance and language preferences; documents, attachments, and scanned pages; text recognized from scans you perform; expenses, income, budgets, savings goals, and subscriptions; bills and warranties; vehicles and maintenance records; purchases and inventory items; tasks and reminders; pets, plants, and related care, health, and attachment records; and local Pro entitlement state. LifeBox does not require a user account.

How information is used

Information is used to operate LifeBox on your device: showing your records, scheduling reminders you enable, and generating Smart Insights and Life Reports from your local data. LifeBox currently does not operate a LifeBox cloud account or remote user profile.

Local and offline storage

LifeBox is offline-first. Records are stored in a local database on your device. Document, purchase, and plant attachments are stored in local app file storage. Theme, language, and display-name preferences are stored locally. LifeBox currently has no cloud backend and does not sync your records to LifeBox servers.

Documents and attachments

Documents, scanned pages, and attachments remain on the device unless you share or open them in another app. Scan text recognition is designed to run on the device to suggest fields; LifeBox does not operate a cloud OCR service and does not send scanned images to a LifeBox server. On Android, LifeBox is designed to apply screen-security protections on Documents screens to reduce capture in the app switcher.

Notifications and reminders

If you enable reminders, LifeBox can schedule local notifications on the device. Some document reminders are designed to avoid showing document titles on the lock screen. Notifications are not sent from a LifeBox server, because LifeBox currently has no cloud backend.

Device permissions

LifeBox requests permissions only for implemented features. These may include camera access to capture photos you attach or scan; photo library or file-picker access to attach existing files; notification permission to deliver reminders you enable; and related system capabilities used to reschedule reminders after a device restart where the operating system requires them. You can deny a permission; related features may then be unavailable.

Third-party services

LifeBox may use Google AdMob for optional advertising. LifeBox currently does not use Firebase, analytics SDKs, or crash-reporting services. On-device text recognition may use platform libraries such as Google ML Kit on the device. If you share or open a file with another app, that app handles the file under its own policy. Apple, Google, and your device operating system have their own policies if you install LifeBox from their stores.

Advertising

LifeBox may show ads through Google AdMob to keep the free experience available. Ad requests can use non-personalized advertising. Ads are not required for core features, and LifeBox Pro is intended to remove ads when store billing is connected. Advertising identifiers and ad interactions may be processed by Google according to Google’s policies. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Analytics and crash reporting

LifeBox currently does not include an analytics SDK or a crash-reporting service.

Pro and purchases

LifeBox includes a Pro catalog for preview. Real Google Play Billing and Apple StoreKit are not connected in this version. LifeBox currently remains Free and cannot complete a store purchase or charge you. LifeBox does not collect payment card numbers, bank credentials, or similar payment details. If store billing is added later, purchases would be processed by Apple or Google under their terms; LifeBox would not receive your card number.

Data sharing

LifeBox is not designed to sell your personal information. LifeBox currently has no cloud backend and does not share your records with LifeBox servers. Information may leave the device when you choose to share or open a file with another app, or if required by applicable law.

Data retention and deletion

Information remains on your device until you delete a record, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling or clearing app data typically removes local LifeBox data, subject to your operating system. LifeBox currently does not keep a cloud copy after uninstall.

Security

LifeBox is designed to keep information locally and, on Android, to apply screen-security protections on Documents screens. No method of storage can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children’s privacy

LifeBox is not directed at children. It is intended for personal organization. LifeBox currently has no user accounts and does not operate an online service that collects information from children.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This policy may be updated when the app changes. The effective date will be updated when that happens. Please review this page and the in-app Privacy Policy after updates.
